Who are Forget Me Not Children's Hospice?

Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire.

We support more than 260 children and their families through our hospice at home service and at our state of the art hospice, Russell House, in Huddersfield.

When a child has a life-shortening condition they still need and want the same as every child- the chance to play, to communicate, to experience new things, to learn, to love and to laugh. We are here to do everything we can to make children happier and more fulfilled while they are with us, however long or short that may be. Despite the common perception, a children’s hospice is about enjoying life.

We give support to the whole family, we help parents have time to just be mum and dad again rather than full-time carers, we give time and attention to siblings and we support families through bereavement counselling and general emotional support while they are caring for the child and often for years afterwards.

With over 1300 children and families who could benefit from our care across West Yorkshire we are only at the start of our journey and we would like you to be part of that journey with us.

We need to raise £3.8 million each year to continue the support and care services that we provide to our children and families. Almost all of our funding comes from our community, and by playing our lottery you can help us to raise these vital funds.
